Post 4: My Favourite Film Ending

The movie Enter the void directed by Gaspar Noé has, in my opinion, one of the best endings, where the concept of reincarnation takes a sense of reality explained by the point of view of this director, how we pass from one life, wandering, seeing the life after life, but all with a psychedelic touch.

The story of this movie begins with a young drug addict that lives with her sister in Japan, both orphans since a car crash killed their parents when they were kids, since then the main character took the role of taking care of his little sister but at the same time has to deal with his own drug addiction. In one of his "adventures” with drug dealers the main character finds himself in an police raid, he dies in hands of one of the police man that catch him, but this death was just one step of his life, because now we will see him touring his past, in which he takes care of his sister and everything that happened with her until his last second of life, we see him as some kind of ghost that travels his own life before death.

I could give three reasons why this movie has and excellent ending and a excellent story.

I think that talking about the reincarnation in a very visual way it’s something everybody should watch. Another, is the photography staging, lights and sounds that are part of the story.

Finally, the story behind the characters doesn’t define a break between the good and the bad that is done because of love.
